materials are solventless, one part, room temperature stable
and are available in a range of viscosities and thixotropies as well as
a variety of cure options.
UV
and visible cure systems may be combined with, or converted
to, heat cure or two part/UV products. Light can be used to quickly harden
exposed regions and heat or time to finish shadowed or deep areas.
Cure
temperatures as low as 80o C are possible and for epoxy chemistry;
tack free coatings can be obtained in as little as 5 minutes at 100o C.
“Delay cure” epoxy systems are options when opaque substrates are to be
bonded or as a means of achieving fast UV processing of epoxy adhesives,
with inexpensive CTECH lamps. For applications where weathering
is a concern ask for the “AY” additives package.
CTECH
offers a range of unique, UV cure materials to be used for producing
water white “dome” coats on labels, novelties, nameplates, key chains,
etc. The viscosity of these products creates a dome over the substrate
after dispensing. Curing is accomplished by exposure to UV light, often
very low intensity as that may produce the best surface.
The
use of the very low cost CTECH CT100-NF lamp is well suited
to this application and allows even small shops to afford the advantages
of UV curing. Low viscosity versions of these products can be used
for fast leveling coating or potting of key chains, jewelry, photos and
many other uses. |
