CTECH has an incredibly
unique line of UV curable adhesives that can be used to laminate and bond
many different substrates. The behavior of the cured product just after UV cure is
similar to a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) because of its low modulus and high
tack. These products however continue to cure after the light is removed to higher
strength bonds with low or no tack. Our chemistry allows versatile processing.
Lenticular lens assembly with high yield can be achieved by laminating the image
to the lens, then aligning and curing to a high peel strength bond. Our material
cost is less than 3M PSA films!
Disparate substrates such as plastic to glass can be structurally bonded and
survive thermal cycling. UV blocked plastics and foams can be bonded.
These CTECH products can be applied in the "nip" of laminating rollers or prior to
laminating and then cured. Alternatively the adhesive can be applied and cured prior
to assembly like a contact adhesive.
